A bit about me…

There are some incredibly talented photographers in our area. I follow their work and try to keep pace with their skills. At times I think I’m holding my own, but at other times, I think it’s time to step up my game. So, what differentiates my services? It’s my story.

I have been taking pictures since the mid 1970s. Yes, that’s a long, long time. I learned photography under an amazing teacher (Mr. Songster) at Frewsburg Central High School shooting 35mm black and white film, developing it in a darkroom, and printing my own photos.

After high school, I didn’t have access to those things and didn’t take as many pictures. But then, along came digital photography, and I jumped back into my hobby in a serious way. My passion for photography became more than a hobby with a career in marketing and advertising (20+ years) where I learned from real artists.

I had always planned to make photography a side-hustle once I retired. That day came at the beginning of 2024. Now I take as many pictures as possible in between church duties, managing a 5-station radio network, watching grandchildren, gardening, and raising chickens.

Most photographers excel at certain types of photography and they often have a distinctive “look” that makes their art very identifiable. My style of photography is very traditional. I can do artsy, de-saturated, color-graded, photos, but typically, I prefer natural, full color, vibrated photos. My passion is people; capturing high school seniors, engagement, wedding, families, and maternity are particularly enjoyable. I’d love to capture your moment, but if you chose to use one of those other photographers, I’ll be happy knowing you’ll get great photos.

As a retired person, I might be able to charge a bit less than some. But I also value my time and talent, so I don’t give my services away (most of the time). Thank you for taking the time to read this and investigate my services.
